Electronics Collection

Randolph County Solid Waste Authority is collecting electronics for recycling this week… Dumpsters are positioned at the following Fire Departments, Coalton, Harman, Huttonsville / Mill Creek & Leading Creek. Elkins residents may drop items off at the Elkins industrial park on Saturday, October 25 until 3:00pm.

Sportsman's / Woman's Bingo, November 1, 6:00 pm at Valley Head Fire Department. Benefits Valley Head School fifth grade class for their end of the year field trip. $20.00 for 20 games, Chinese auction, 50/50 drawing, 2 special games and concessions.

Third Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk

Belington Wellness Center’s Third Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk & one mile Wee Trot. The race is scheduled for November 1 at the Belington Wellness Center. Registration for the race is from 7:30-8:45am, race starts at 9am. The Turkey Trot is open to walkers and runners of all ages; it is a relatively flat course with one hill. The Wee Trot is a flat course and is children friendly. All children will be provided a scavenger hunt while on the wee trot and a participation medal. Snacks and refreshments will be provided after the run/walk, followed by an awards ceremony. First 20 people to register get a FREE t-shirt. Pre-registration is recommended, but not required. The registration donation required is $15.00 per person prior to October 18 & after that date the registration donation will be $20.00. Harman High Fund Raiser

Mardi Gras Celebration, Saturday November 8 at the Harman Fire Department, doors open at 3:00pm… Games with prizes, Costume Contest – Prizes for best costume child & adult category… Parade / Scavenger Hunt, Live band, cake walk at 6:00pm, concessions… All proceeds benefit the Harman High School repair fund.

Carmel Baptist Church Relay for Life "CAKEWALK", Saturday, November 8, 5:00pm - 8:00pm… Beverly Fire Hall… Dinner Menu: Pepperoni Roll, Macaroni & Cheese, Brownie & Drink for $6.00, Pepperoni rolls and soda will also be sold separately. Mill Creek Senior Center Trip

Oglebay/Wheeling/Christmas Light Trip for Seniors/non-seniors, December 13, 7:30am, Mill Creek Senior Center. We will be leaving the Senior Center in Mill Creek for a tour bus trip to Oglebay/Wheeling to see the Christmas lights & shopping at the Cabelas Mall - all "Seniors" will go FREE - this trip also includes your dinner meal - you will be responsible for your lunch - NON-Seniors will pay $50.00 each and will be responsible for your lunch & dinner meal - children age 10 & under cost will be $25.00, they will be responsible for their meals -WE ONLY HAVE ROOM FOR 47 persons on the bus - deadline to register for the trip is December 1st
